Upstander is a super-charged fundraising event at lot19’s arts precinct in Castlemaine on Saturday 8 February 2025, supporting the freedom, safety and celebration of Women.

Castlemaine party band M79 and friends will perform alongside a ‘supergroup’ of talented local female artists and an all-women’s dance group, with DJs Tina Rae and Jen Moore bringing up the dance vibes.
Aside from the fabulous entertainment, the main aim of Upstander is to raise money for a women’s refuge in the area (Annie North), and to raise awareness of what refuges do and the services they offer.

The event also aims to raise awareness of men’s behaviour-change programs in the area, and to help support women in the Central Victorian region and beyond to feel safe, free, respected and appreciated.

Upstander is an all-ages event at the family-friendly time of 4pm-9pm. Food and alcohol will be on sale at the event.
